11 Tech Startups Qualify For Shells Acceleration Program
Shell Philippines (SPC) selected 11 companies for this year's business development project to promote entrepreneurship in the country and get mentorship, training and financial support.
Shell LiveWIRE is a program designed to help companies identify their strengths and build a system that helps them expand and improve their product range, expand their markets, and create sustainable revenue streams.

They serve as catalysts for growth, strengthening relationships, encouraging innovation and enabling local businesses to navigate challenges and thrive in an ever-changing world,” said Serge Bernal, Vice President of Corporate Communications at SPC. the change".
Shell LiveWIRE received 219 applications this year, of which 141 were from technology startups and 78 from community organizations. The selection process was judged by Shell executives, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and investment capitalists with expertise in industry and market requirements.
Three of the eleven shortlisted candidates are early-stage technology companies focused on innovation, energy solutions, value chain integration and economic diversification. LITHOS Manufacturing OPC is focused on adding value to domestic minerals for industry, agriculture, aquaculture and the environment. integrating smart technologies into two-wheeled electric vehicles; and Farmvocacy Inc., a social climate fintech startup that supports climate-friendly rice farming and highly productive, green farming systems.
On the other hand, the six community-run businesses are Samahang Mangigida ng Dalupao, a group of fishermen engaged in agribusiness related to fish processing. Tagilaran Youth Workers Association, manufacturer of bags and other souvenir products using recycled plastic waste; PHILIA Variety Store, a smallholder direct marketing channel for coffee, cocoa, coconuts and other agricultural products; DLR Foods Supply Trading, a Halal-certified retort bag ready-to-eat food company; Odicon Smallholder Coconut Farmers, an agricultural company focused on the sustainable processing of coconut by-products; Agri-Vino Enterprises, a poultry company, provides egg hatching services to the community, reducing travel costs for their colleagues.
Two more of the first companies backed by Shell are Forte, a local Philippine peer-to-peer car-sharing platform that allows car owners to rent out their cars to anyone looking for a ride. and USHER Technologies, or Universal Structural Health Recording and Recording System, a company that provides equipment that monitors and diagnoses the structural health of buildings.
Everyone will have the opportunity to promote the idea and get the necessary financial support for business development. The stake is valued at £1 million for tech startups and £100,000 for community foundations, which will be awarded at the event later this year.
In addition, all participants have the opportunity to be part of the Shell value chain as a supplier or resource in the business ecosystem.
