Getting The "payment Request" Error When Sending Messages On The Oppo Find N2? Try This

Getting The

Although the Oppo Find N2 and N2 Flip are not currently sold in the US, they are a hit in the US market among users who are not afraid to import phones from overseas. However, users who currently use this nifty foldable device in the US and use SIM cards from carriers such as T-Mobile are finding particular annoyance when trying to read non-RCS texts through the Google Messages app. .

The problem mainly occurs when trying to send SMS messages to iPhone users or in general to anyone not using RCS and ends with a popup message "Messages wants to send a message with a payment request. Please check your identity" with a connection or disconnection request. Previously, the solution used by frustrated users was to close the Google Messages app and switch to the default messaging app to let the text through.

Fortunately, a more permanent solution has emerged via XDA Developer Forum and documented in video Forbes Tech Journals. This solution includes enabling developer mode and disabling permission control.
As mentioned in the video, to configure this setting, you need to go to your phone's settings > About device > Version, then tap on the build number several times. After about 8-10 times, the device will tell you that you are now a developer. After completing this step, you need to go to Advanced Settings > Developer Options and scroll down to the Apps section. Enable the setting "Disable permission monitoring" here.
Users who have tried this trick have reported that the setting stays enabled after a reboot, so you don't have to deal with the setting again after enabling it. This trick also works with Find N2 and Find N2 Flip, which both suffer from the same bug.

Of course, this isn't a permanent fix or vendor recommendation, it's just a community-found solution that works like a charm if you can dig into the developer settings. Hopefully this will lead to the release of a more permanent fix via software update.
