Vivo Is The First To Market With A Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Phone
The 2022 smartphone season is over. Qualcomm has already unveiled its flagship chipset for 2023, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which means the race is on among Android smartphone makers to launch the next generation of smartphones. A week after officially announcing the Snapdragon chip, and as before, Vivo announced the X90 Pro+, the world's first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's latest SoC. The Vivo X90 series consists of three smartphones including the X90 and X90 Pro. All the phones have great hardware, with special attention paid to camera performance.
Vivo has equipped the entire X90 series with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP primary camera, dual 5G SIM, and OriginOS based on Android 13. Higher resolution configuration and display. Vivo X90 Pro Plus
The most interesting smartphone on the Internet is Vivo X90 Pro Plus. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a 64 MP 3.5x periscope zoom camera and an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner (via GSMA). The phone has a large 1-inch 50MP Zeiss-branded Sony IMX989 camera, the same sensor found on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Vivo's software packages improve camera setup with horizon correction, portrait lens placement, astrophotography mode and 100x hybrid zoom. The phone can also record 8K video at 30fps with Dolby Vision and LOG10 support. The company has equipped the phone with V2 ISP for image processing. It has 45MB of SRAM and delivers 16 TOPS per watt. All this is backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Vivo X90 Pro Plus will cost around $910 in China, with pre-orders starting on November 28. It will be available at retail on December 6th.
Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro
These phones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. The main difference between them is the rear camera setup of the regular X90, which has a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the Pro model, you get a larger 50MP main sensor and an imager that should help in low light. There are some minor differences compared to the Pro+ model that help keep the price of these phones in check.

The Vivo X90 and X90 Pro are now available for pre-order, with the former priced at 4,499 yuan ($615) and the latter priced at 5,499 yuan ($775). The regular model will start shipping from November 30, while the Plus will go on sale alongside the Pro Plus from December 6.
