Xiaomi 13T Pro HandsOn: Leica Telemacro Camera Impresses

Xiaomi 13T Pro HandsOn: Leica Telemacro Camera Impresses

After Leica integration was limited to the highest quality (most expensive) devices, Xiaomi is now bringing it to slightly cheaper smartphone models. Launched today for European and Asian markets, the Xiaomi 13T Pro and 13T are entry-level flagship phones featuring fast 144Hz displays and two-star cameras using Leica optics and lens matching. colors, including a handy telemacro, possibly a 50mm telephoto lens. and even relatively close macro shots. There's also a high-end Mediatek Dimensity chip and a soft vegan leather finish, giving the phone performance and looks that exceed its price range.

I tested the 13T Pro model, and while I didn't use it long enough to consider this a full review, I took hundreds of photos and tested it extensively over three days, So I have a pretty strong opinion about it.

Let's start with the optics: the 13T Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.9 aperture and a 1/1.3-inch image sensor, plus another 2X telephoto lens of 50 megapixels, the aforementioned telemacro sensor. . This camera takes photos with a focal length of 50mm, but can also get closer to the subject without losing focus.

Since the photo above was taken at night, the details and colors are crisp and accurate. The camera image (above) shows excellent dynamic range with minimal flare or distortion. The macro photo shows a lot of detail in the flowers in the center, while providing a subtle and aesthetic bokeh effect in the flowers in the foreground.

Xiaomi said it worked with Leica to develop color and lens structure adjustments to reduce unwanted artifacts and keep images consistent with "Leica vision."

This means that the photos have strong contrast and, especially in the center of the image, sharp focus. Below are examples captured by the 13T Pro.

And the Xiaomi 13T Pro's main camera holds up surprisingly well to that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, although due to the very different color tuning philosophies, each eye will have a different opinion on which photo is "better" .

However, the macro lens allows you to capture some photos that few phones are capable of, including very close-up shots.

This macro shot is different from what other phones have offered over the years because it's a telephoto macro, meaning you don't need to move the phone too much to get within a few centimeters from an object, to get as close to an object. You'll also get stronger, more natural bokeh photos, even from farther away positions. Video performance is good, but not as good as the new iPhone.

Overall, the camera system here is impressive for a phone that's expected to be priced around $800, which is a few hundred dollars less than what a high-end phone would cost.

Otherwise, the phone has the aforementioned beautiful display with vibrant colors and an extremely smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Most people will also appreciate the flat screens and sides, which make the phone easier to hold. However, I prefer a more curved screen. Weighing 209g, the phone is lightweight and fits comfortably in the hand.

The Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ chip offers respectable performance, but falls slightly behind Qualcomm's best current chips, especially in terms of CPU. On the GPU side, it's extremely competitive. This allows me to easily play with the phone's best settings.

The 13T Pro also has IP68 water and dust protection and excellent stereo speakers. The only thing missing is wireless charging and maybe a longer zoom lens. Otherwise, the phone seems to meet many of the criteria that a new Android flagship can offer.

I haven't used the phone long enough to give a definitive answer on battery life, but so far I haven't noticed any issues. You can probably expect typical Android flagship performance here. And the good news: this phone comes with a 120W fast charger that can charge your phone from 0 to 100 in 21 minutes.

As I said, this is not a complete review, but I will conclude this article with more photos taken with the Xiaomi 13T Pro.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus Brings This Premium Feature For Fraction Of The Price

Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus Brings This Premium Feature For Fraction Of The Price

Oppo's flagship Find X6 Pro has one of the best zoom cameras on any smartphone this year. Periscope lenses give you access to new angles that you wouldn't normally be able to get with a standard or ultra-wide camera. However, this feature is limited to flagship phones such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Oppo's Find X6 Pro.

And for this you should pay attention to the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus. This is one of the rare phones that offers a Periscope camera for less than $660/INR 55,000.

The Reno 10 Pro Plus features a 64MP telephoto lens with f/2.5 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), along with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. It supports 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom, and I got impressive results with 6x zoom and usable images up to 30x. If you love photographing pets, attending concerts, or photographing architecture, the Periscope camera is a real treat.

Last week I went to the Lucky Ali concert in Delhi and took my Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus with me. As my primary phone, I use the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which offers 3x optical zoom and only 15x digital zoom; I was almost disappointed. But I wasn't sure if the Reno could beat the iPhone in digital zoom. Here's a comparison of the two.

If you're new to the world of PC gaming, the MSI Bravo is a good place to start. It features high-quality components, but nothing is too flashy or expensive. At just 15.6 inches, it's compact, but the screen still has a 144Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. The biggest money saver is an AMD Ryzen 5 processor. The graphics card is an impressive Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, which takes up most of the budget. 16GB of RAM is standard, but some storage is saved with just 512GB of SSD storage.

MSI Delta 15 – $1,300, previously $1,500

This MSI Delta configuration is completely dedicated to AMD. It runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 and the AMD Radeon RX 6700M processor. The screen is compact, with a diagonal of 15.6 inches and a resolution of 1080p.

MSI Stealth 17 – $1332, was $1850

This list contains multiple versions of the MSI Stealth gaming laptop. If you want to focus on power, performance and screen size, the Stealth is a good choice. This configuration has a 17.3-inch screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It is a wide screen, but the refresh rate is standard. The higher price is mainly due to the 12th generation Intel Core i9 processor, which is included in the list of the best Intel processors of the year. It has an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, which, while no longer high-end, will put most AAA games to shame.

MSI Stealth 16 – $1850, previously $2000

With the MSI Stealth 16, we reduced the screen size but increased the quality. This laptop runs at a resolution of 1920 x 1200, which is actually a wider version of FHD. The refresh rate is still limited to 144 Hz. It's powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, so you'll get years of performance before upgrading. The GPU is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and can handle any task with grace and style. It also has 32GB of RAM, so you can multitask while gaming without significant slowdown.

MSI Stealth 17 Studio: $3,895, down from $4,000.

This is the power source you are looking for. The MSI Stealth 17 Studio has all the premium components you need, as well as a nicer display than previous models on this list. Let's start with a simple example: 64 GB of RAM. If you're running two or more intensive processes at the same time, such as gaming and streaming, you'll need 64GB. This model is powered by an impressive 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and an unrivaled Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. If you're looking for a gaming-ready laptop, you've come to the right place.

Body Cam Footage Released In Fatal Police Shooting At Rochester Tech Park

Body Cam Footage Released In Fatal Police Shooting At Rochester Tech Park

The New York Attorney General's Office has released body camera footage of the August 6 shooting of police officer Daniel Legler.

Legler, 35, was shot and killed in a field near Rochester Technology Park after police said he shot and killed New York State Trooper Dominic Caito.

According to state police, the collision began on Interstate 490 near Innovation Field when Kaito attempted to stop Legler's car for an overdue state inspection. Legler did not comply and headed west on Highway 531 to Gates.

Police said shortly after the traffic stop, Legler exited the Rochester Technology Park Freeway onto Elmgrove Road, where he hit a guardrail, jumped a curb and fell into a field.

As Kaito attempted to arrest the driver, the two men argued before Legler fired "at close range from the officer," police said. Kaito shot Legler.

The New York Attorney General's Office is responsible for investigating all incidents in which a police officer may have caused the death of another person. Whenever possible, the office strives to release body camera footage to increase transparency about these incidents.

The investigation into Legler's death is ongoing, but the office said officers recovered a firearm at the scene. On average, it took the agency just over a year to present its findings.

The State Attorney's Office released 2 minutes, 37 seconds of Kaito's body camera footage of the incident as he followed Legler onto the highway with his lights and sirens activated.

The footage shows Kaito getting out of the car but keeping his distance from Legler, ordering the man to stay in the car six times over the next 30 seconds and warning Legler that a police dog was approaching and that he was being held at gunpoint. . .

Legler gets out of the car and starts to walk away, but trips and falls. Kaito then approaches the man, orders him to stay on the ground and shoots him in the stomach, telling Legler that he has a stun gun. “Don’t do that,” Legler countered.

Seconds later, the officer screamed and ran back to his police car, shooting Legler multiple times in the back as he stood. It is unclear what exactly the officer saw or heard that caused him to flee.

Kaito stops not far from him, shots are heard over the radio, and Legler continues to shout for him to get down on the ground. Legler stands still and does not move. Kaito throws another punch and Legler goes down. About 20 seconds passed between the first and last shot.

“They disappeared into the square,” Kaito told police radio. “The suspect is lying on the ground. He has a gun, but I don't know where it is. I’ll run back for cover.”

Pokemon TCG Best Decks Lost Box Deck Tech

Pokemon TCG Best Decks Lost Box Deck Tech

In any competitive card game, there is always a superior deck. The Pokémon Trading Card Game is no different. Today we're looking at one of the best Pokémon Trading Card Game decks for Standard and Lost Box. This is a deck that also has several variations. So let's take a look at the game and what Pokémon 151 cards can be played.

If you're ready to start playing, check out our guide to the best Pokemon TCG Live starter decks. Also check out our guide to using Pokemon TCG codes in TCG Live. This guide will help you get started with Pokémon Trading Card Game Standard Online.

Best Pokémon Trading Card Game Decks – What is a Lost Box?

The name “Lost Box” comes from the use of the “Lost Zone” mechanic and is also a “toolbox” deck. This means that the game has cards that can be used to overcome various situations. What makes it one of the best Pokémon TCG decks is its ability to consume large amounts of resources while using incredibly powerful Pokémon.

This deck contains Pokemon and Trainers, both of which use Lost Zone, and is very versatile. So let's look at the deck list. We'll break down the specifics of this deck.

This decklist is the Giritina Lost Zone VSTAR list which was circulated during a very competitive match. This is also a simplified version of the original platform you get on TCG Live. A list of Pokemon TCG Live imports can be found in the deck list.

Lost Box – Lost Zone Synergy

First, let's look at the cards we will use for our first game plan of abusing Lost Zone. Lost Zones are essentially cards that have been removed from play. Our deck wants to hit different thresholds for the number of cards we have in the Lost Zone. These cards help us or are rewards for us to reach this threshold.

One of our main cards in this game is Comfey. This allows us to draw cards from our deck as well as fill the Lost Zone with cards. Next we have the big dogs themselves, Giritina V and VSTAR. Giritina V put cards in the lost zone and made a powerful attack. Giritina VSTAR is a 10 card reward in the lost zone with her VSTAR power. This power can take down any Pokemon, regardless of health.

Our replacement for Lost Zone fans is Sabre. Especially we want to use his Lost Mine move. If we have 10 additional cards in the lost zone, we deal 12 damage counters to the opposing Pokemon. This is a form of damage distribution that surrounds Manaphy. This can cause a very fast hit.

Finally, for Pokémon, we have Cramorant, which gives us a fast attacker with a power of 110. We will have four cards in the lost zone, so going for a free attack is not a bad option.

As for trainers, we have several that interact with the Lost Zone. Colress' experience digs up five cards for us, allowing us to keep the first three cards and release the other two. Mirage Gate allows us to use Giritina and Sableye energy quickly. This allows us to collect lost tokens and win prizes.

Lastly, we have a missing gap that could be filled with Pokemon cars in games or stadiums, even our own. It is possible to target your stadium, which can help you get enough cards in the lost zone to start your game plan.

Now let's look at our pile of tool cards. Radiant Greninja and Manaphy are the only other Pokemon in the deck that each offer their own benefits. One is used to draw cards and the other is used to protect against spreading damage.

For our coaches, the Battle VIP Pass is now a very powerful card that allows us to build a bench very quickly and can also serve as a snack in the Lost Zone after the first round.

Path to the Top is a great way to get rid of opposing Rule Box Pokemon with abilities like Raikou V. As mentioned, it can also be used in conjunction with Lost Vacuum to push you past your own ability threshold.

Finding cards is especially important for Roxanne as we may have to sacrifice some of our early game Pokemon like Comfy to get online. So Roxanne refills our opponents and gives us a nice resource boost.

Perhaps the two most important tools in this box are the Switch Cart and Jet Energy. These cards give you the ability to go through and complete several Comfeys in a row, give you very quick access to the Lost Zone boundary, or give you the last few cards to complete.

Missing Box Variation

As we mentioned at the start, there are some changes

Lost Box Variant 1 – Dragonite/Raikou/Kyogre/Hawlucha/Drapion

This deck variant rejects the Giritina build and uses Dragonite V, Raikou V or Kyogre and Hawlucha or Drapion V. This variant seems to build a full bench very quickly and then starts delivering big attacks with Raikou and Dragonite. and Drapion. It's also great for spreading damage to Kyogre and Hawlucha.

This is the most common deck variation you will see and seems to be the best way to play the deck.

The Lost Box 2 variant is Charizard EX

The second option we looked at for this deck is actually quite new. Rather than playing all those additional Pokemon, this option only has one Pokemon in mind for the high damage dealer: Charizard EX. Specifically, he uses the new Charizard EX from Obsidian Flames. Interestingly, this is not a complete development. Just play Charmander, Charizard and three rare candies to evolve. There are other ways to find these cards, including Ultra Ball and Raihan.

This deck wants to move quickly and do things quickly. We also looked at the copy of Beach Court that was on file to help us. This makes our Pokemon base smaller than colorless Pokemon, meaning we can easily turn Comfey on and off and potentially leave stronger Pokemon in our active slots at the end of the chain.

Best Pokémon Trading Card Game Deck – Pokémon 151 Supplement

Given the release of the new Pokémon Set 151, what additions from that set will impact this deck?

Right off the bat, a Charizard EX with 151 would really look good in the Charizard variant. We have the means to provide energy, and the means to increase it indefinitely. Also, it absorbs a huge amount of damage. It also has an advantage over Charizard Dark Obsidian Flame because when we face a grass type pokemon, we can deal very effective damage to it. This doesn't mean we will replace the Obsidian Flames version, but rather it will be separate.

Cards that can definitely be guaranteed also include Mew EX and Zapdos EX as support and attack Pokemon respectively. Additionally, Erika's Invitation is a very strong trainer card, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few copies of it make it onto this list. Lastly, I noticed the addition of Cycling Path to the Dragonite/Raikou option because they wanted to use power card manipulation and this could help with the use of the board to draw additional cards.

And that's all you need to know about one of the best decks in the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Lost Box. This is a really fun and provocative deck, so give it a try! Speaking of Pokémon 151, check out our guide to the Pokémon 151 set as well as our most expensive Pokémon 151 cards. Plus, don't forget to check out our guide to the Pokémon TCG Classic for the next collectible box you'll definitely want to check out and grab it.
