Teen Makes Split Second Decision After Gang Pull Knife On Him
After the gang catches him on the street and threatens him with a knife, the teen makes a second decision.
Shortly after 4.35pm on Monday 5 June, the 17-year-old was walking by Branspeath Square in Ellesmere Port when he was approached by a group of three men he did not know. Cheshire Police said the gang asked the boy to give him headphones and other items.
The teen refused, and the men threatened him with a knife. Later, the boy made a decision in a matter of seconds and ran away from the scene. He was in good health, and had not stolen anything.

One of the men is described as white, in his mid-twenties, of thin build with a light brown beard that curls up on his chin. At the time of the accident, he was wearing a blue sports jersey with a white pattern and gray pants. It has also been described as a "local dialect".
The second suspect is described as white, in his twenties, slim build, about 6 feet in height, with short dark brown hair and a dark complexion. He also had mismatched eyes and was wearing a black Nike-Tech fleece with a small black chest bag at the time of the accident.
The third suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, wearing a black shirt with white shoulder stripes and black pants. The incident is under investigation and the officers are keen to hear any information that may help in the investigation.
Detective Constable Chrisia McNamara, of Ellesmere Port CID Reactive, said: "Thankfully the young man was unharmed but the ordeal has left him distraught. I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us. Finding those responsible may prevent another event." Like this from happening again.
"We would like anyone with a camera or doorbell to review the footage to see if the incident was filmed."
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 1564657. Alternatively, reports can be submitted anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
