Welcome to invest. These parts—less expensive, more attractive, and much more—are what our editors love and respect. Choices with stories to tell and real reasons. Want to invest your money in the right place? That's how it is.
For years I lived in an apartment in Brooklyn that looked like something out of Alice. The staircase from the entrance is so unbalanced that it is dizzying. Also, the floor in the apartment was uneven, leading me and other visitors to suspect that we had accidentally taken a small dose of psychedelics while walking from the kitchen to the bathroom. What I'm saying is that when I came into my current role, I mainly wanted something higher. My biggest concern is the constant sunlight that falls on the only sane place to mount a TV. It wasn't until the weekend after I moved in that I realized how hard it is to watch cartoons with your child on a Saturday morning when the bright light is shining off the TV screen. Instead of turning the living room into a basement with blackout curtains, I bought a Samsung 65 inch frame. It was definitely the right choice.
So the screen
I don't know why no one is making matte screens for TVs at this point. I know the real goal is to show art more effectively; After all, there's a reason it's called a frame, but in practice, the most important thing about my new TV is that it does its job when the screen is on . It works like a TV . I started experimenting with the blinds closed. My old TV still has glare or glare. In a frame? Nothing but sweet, sweet entertainment. True color. Black noise is exactly what you want, no problem with the picture you want. So I opened the curtains. Without changes. Being the professional that I am, I waited in the middle of a sunny Wednesday and spent 30 minutes at Bob's Burgers for lunch. As I sat in the sun with a turkey sandwich and watched the Belcher family travel the world without a single visual distraction, I realized I had missed out on the good life for so long.

Also... art
Having grown up with CRTs and small but box TVs, I appreciate having a surprisingly large flat screen and affordability. Still, there's something sad about having a giant vinyl record occupying so much of your environment when you haven't seen John Wick for the millionth time. So I'd be remiss in this review if I didn't mention the actual art you can see in the frame. To me, this upper Austrian farmhouse is a Gustav Klimt painting. You can also choose works by Monet, Manet, Pissarro and others for free. (Does the choice of "classic" accessory pieces lean toward impenitence? Hell yeah!) Switching the TV to art mode instead of turning it off completely has been a busy job in my house since the frame, and it's a great opportunity to work. Room more welcoming. You can also shop for art if you want something a little classic like The Starry Night . Is it worth paying $20 for the privilege when you can have great stuff from different masters for free? Not in my book. But it is your decision.

That's easy.
I'll admit, I'm a little confused at the prospect of ditching my old Roku-compatible TV. Call it technological inertia; I'm used to my old system and stuck in my routine. But it's easy to set up, and I found navigating the frame easier than I expected, albeit a bit intuitive. (I can always connect a Roku device if I get bored.) It comes with many apps pre-installed and downloading new apps isn't a problem. The only real drawback at first was the remote control, which after a while decided it didn't want to pair with the TV. But after rebooting the mains and doing a full USB C charge so I don't care if I have a hot battery laying around it works fine. Audio works well in my small space. And the little touches, like the TV automatically detecting my Nintendo Switch when I turn it on and updating game settings, are very welcome. When I'm walking around Hyrule, watching movies and cartoons, or just passing by a beautiful Klimt painting, I look at my TV and think 'Shit'. , that's great." "And isn't that the point?
