Vivo X90, X90 Pro Go Global: Where's The X90 Pro Plus?

Vivo X90, X90 Pro Go Global: Where's The X90 Pro Plus?

TL; Dr.

  • Vivo has launched the X90 and X90 Pro in the global market.
  • However, the company hasn't taken the X90 Pro Plus for a ride.

Vivo announced the X90 series in China last year, and the phones feature a powerful processor, fast charging, and impressive camera technology. We had to wait a long time, but finally this series has reached the international market.

Unfortunately, Vivo did not bring the X90 Pro Plus to the global market, the company only brought the standard model and the X90 Pro. The company did not give a specific reason for the lack of a Pro Plus variant in the international market, representatives only told reporters that they are listening to customer feedback about the X90 series.

That said, we'd love to see this model launch outside of China, as it packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a QHD+ display, the excellent Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanner, and a 64MP 3.5x periscope lens. But the X90 and X90 Pro still look like solid devices on paper.

Both the phones are packed with features like Mediatek Dimensity 9200 processor, 6.78-inch 2,800 x 1,260 120Hz OLED display, IP68 rating and 120W wired charging. In the latter case, Vivo offers "balanced" and "charging" modes. Fast", the first allows 50% capacity in eight minutes.

Vivo X90 series: what's different?

What sets the Pro variant apart from the vanilla X90 is the 4,870mAh battery and 50W wireless charging. In comparison, the standard X90 has a 4,810mAh battery but lacks wireless charging support. But we've seen a lot of changes in the camera department.

The X90 Pro has a one-inch 50MP IMX989 main camera (f/1.75, 1.6 micron pixels, OIS), a 50MP 2x portrait camera (IMX758) and a 12MP IMX663 ultra-wide lens. A 32MP shooter handles selfies and video calls.

Meanwhile, the standard X90 has a 50MP IMX866 (f/1.75, OIS) main camera, a 12MP 2x portrait camera (IMX663) and a 12MP IMX663 ultra-wide camera. Moving on, you still have a 32 MP selfie camera.

Both phones have a wide range of camera modes and features, such as Zeiss True Color 2.0 for more realistic colors in images, Cine Flare Portrait option (adds cinema lens flare to portraits), a tilt mode called Zeiss Effect Miniatures. , and an improved Supermoon mod. He can capture the moon and the landscape in the same shot. But the X90 Pro is getting a handheld astrophoto mode, which lets you take astro photos without a tripod.
