Valve Shares More Good News About Upcoming Steam Deck Orders
Steam deck maker Valve has shared more news for those still waiting to buy their own portable PC version. Valve has been working hard over the past few months to speed up the production and shipping of Steam Deck devices worldwide. At a time when many tech companies are falling behind in production due to hardware shortages and shipping restrictions, Valve has been able to increase the speed at which the Steam deck is getting into customers' hands. Luckily, this trend won't continue until dawn in the final months of 2022.
New news published by Valve on the Steam website today states that Steam deck orders are continuing to come in faster than expected. Specifically, Valve said that Steam Deck shipments scheduled for Q3 were already complete by the end of the month. As a result, orders for the fourth quarter started processing a little earlier than expected.
“As some people have noticed online (we see it on Reddit), we are increasing bookings at a rapid pace. This is due to higher production and we again beat our estimates. We sent out invites to the entire third quarter. (July-September) reserve basket”. “Now that the third quarter is over we will start the next round of bookings and fill in the bookings for the fourth quarter. We have updated the store page to reflect this with an updated description of the deposit September through December. "
In short, this means that if your own Steam deck wasn't supposed to arrive until Q4, it may now arrive a little earlier than expected. As always, keep an eye on your emails over the coming weeks as Valve will definitely let you know when their own Steam platform is ready for purchase, assuming you've already pre-ordered.
