Welcome to the investment. These are works that our editors love and respect - a little more expensive, more elegant, and well worth it. A choice with a true story and purpose. Want to put your money where it belongs? Here's how.
Xbox Steam Game Pass. Nvidia GeForce now. amazon mongo google stadia. PlayStation Remote Play. I can go on. As with TV streaming services, there are many places where you can play video games today. The list of "channels," "providers," or whatever they're called, is growing, and major consoles are testing their services using the above Xbox and PlayStation Remote apps. You can now stream Elden Ring directly in your browser. This is madness. but why?! The nice thing about running TV platforms is that they can all live in one smart box.
Now that streaming has made its way into the gaming world, I find it silly to switch between Xbox, PS5, Nintendo Switch, iPhone, and tablet sometimes overnight. There are so many HDMI ports in my apartment that it's hard to keep track of. Then everything changed when I saw the Razer Blade 15, a powerful laptop that could theoretically store your entire video game library in one place.
Finally, a simple game setup for PC.Until recently, I've always preferred simplified console games. Plug and play. No driver downloads, no investment in new hardware, and no YouTube hours teaching you watching a 12-year-old play the latest version of Skyrim (it's easy!). Gamers annoy me for saying this, but computers scare me. Especially when trying to assemble it yourself. Not to mention their high price tag, they tend to keep up with the latest games.
The story continues
The Razer Blade 15 makes the concept of PC gaming much easier. It's just a Windows laptop. At the end of the day, that's all there is to it. The PC comes with Windows 11, so installing the OS is not a problem, and unless you absolutely want to play PC games (that's fine, no judgement) some technical knowledge is required. Play all your games. However, with a little time and effort, you can create your own gaming museum, starting with today's latest releases and ending with the NES or earlier. It's easy, I mean I was able to do it in a night or two and I never had a computer.

It may be portable, but it doesn't skimp on the parts under the hood. The Razer Blade series of laptops (includes the latest 14, 15 and 17 lineups, all with enough processing power, graphics capabilities, and memory speed to run nicely the biggest AAA games) makes it hard to find excuses. Invest in any other custom gaming equipment. You can check the specs yourself, but these are very powerful machines, which makes it hard for me to get a tower computer.
And since you're not building anything yourself, you also get the console experience. When I opened Blade 15, Xbox GamePass was already installed. All I had to do was sign into my Microsoft account and my games were there. Sites and apps like PS Remote Play (more on that later), Steam, GOG, itch.io or the Epic Games Store are just a click away.
If you want to play on a laptop, the glass trackpad and ergonomic keyboard are huge, all shining in customizable LEDs, a stunning 4k 360Hz screen and THX Spatial Audio 7.1. Speakers add impact.
This is common for PC gamers, but if, like me, you prefer an older console, the Xbox console shouldn't be a sync issue, and you can just connect the Blade to an HDMI flat-screen display and sit back. You just play the Dreamcast in your bed. If you don't know, you can play Sonic Adventure in 4k if you want.

Finally, you can collect everything in one place. Then it leads me to the glorious realm of Emmulites. Copying is now illegal, and we can't advise you not to use illegal ROMs (and there are perfectly legal ways to copy your old video games). But you want to set up a "console" where all your Xbox games are neatly stored next to all your Sega Genesis games, and you can switch between Halo Infinite and VectorMan, for example, without getting off the couch. Even better, Capcom Marvel Vs. Assuming you don't want to wait for Capcom to bring the 2 back to consoles. With apps like Launchbox that collect and organize all your games into one neat collection, the possibilities are endless.
Since PS Remote requires PS4 or PS5 to work, Sony has the upper hand here, but I don't think that will last long. The longtime console company is launching its biggest PS exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man and, most recently, God of War: Ragnarok, on PC. This means that many PS games will soon be able to run directly on PC. It's crazy guesswork. I don't know Sony's business model, but now that I've got a Blade 15, I'm not complaining. This makes things difficult.
And the game doesn't have to be difficult. It's already an expensive hobby, with games now costing well over $60 and consoles quickly getting into the thousand dollar range. If you have the cash to drop $1,700 (or $2,999 for the upgraded version), the Razer Blade 15 could be the mega portable console for all your gaming needs in the next few years. It is a powerful machine well worth the investment.
