However, email has its place and you can make your inbox as useful as possible. For me, it starts with my annual ritual of clearing out all the old emails from the past year. Try it.

Sure, you can send all your emails in carefully organized folders, but what are the chances that you'll actually maintain that level of organization? Archiving is a great gift to give yourself in the new year. Plus, it's easy to make a New Year's resolution. Just click a few buttons and your life will be easier.

Follow these steps to archive in Gmail

  • First, open your Gmail account on your computer and click on the Inbox folder on the left.
  • Your email There is an empty box above the letters. Click on the small arrow next to it and select All . It only selects the conversations that are visible on the screen.
  • To select all your emails, click Select all conversations (number) in your inbox . Then click on the file icon (the folder with the arrow pointing down).

It will take some time for Gmail to process your request. Be patient. You can do this step several times to get everything.

FIVE MISTAKES YOU MAKE IN SAFETY MEDITATION

Once you've archived a message, you can click All emails at the bottom left of your inbox and other email folders to find it. It's best to search for a term you know is in the email or the sender.

Do you use Apple Mail? This is what you must do

  • Open the Mail app on your Mac. Browse through your mailbox or other folders and find the emails you want to save. Click on an email to select it, or if you have a group, hold down the Command key and click each one you want to archive.
  • Do you have an Archive button (looks like a small box) on your toolbar? Just click on it and you're golden! No button? No problem. Click "Message" at the top, then select "Archive" from the drop-down menu. If you like shortcuts, just press Control + Command + A and those emails will be saved directly to your file.
  • Where did they go? Go to the folder "File" . It is located in the sidebar of the mailboxes. You have more than one email account. Each has its own folder.

You will see the emails disappear from your inbox and subfolders. They will now be under the heading "Archive".
