Samsung, TCL And Hisense TVs Fall To New Lows, Plus The Rest Of The Week's Best Tech Deals
We're in the midst of October's Amazon Prime Day deals and Black Friday sales, but if you can't wait a few more weeks to start holiday shopping, there are some great tech deals you can take advantage of today. For example, premium TVs like the Samsung S90C and TCL QM8 are at all-time lows, as is the affordable Hisense U6K. If you're in the market for a new set of wireless headphones, the Lightning version of the AirPods Pro is $60 off Apple's list price, while the wallet-friendly Jabra Elite 3 is $40 off. We're also seeing discounts on Anker chargers, featured gaming laptops, and more. Here are the best tech deals of the week that you can get today.
Samsung S90S
SAMSUNG
This is the lowest price we've ever seen for this version of Samsung's QD-OLED TV, which combines an OLED panel with a quantum dot coating to improve brightness and color.
The price of the 55-inch Samsung S90C has dropped to $1,298, a new low and about $150 less than the retail price we saw earlier this month. This OLED TV has received near-unanimous praise for the high contrast, smooth motion, and wide viewing angles you'd expect from a good OLED TV, without sacrificing maximum brightness and color saturation. This is because it uses a QD-OLED panel that combines OLED technology with a quantum layer. The big plus is that it will look better in a bright room than a standard OLED TV (although it won't be as bright as the best LCD TVs). The S90C is also well equipped for gaming as it has four HDMI 2.1 ports that support refresh rates of up to 144Hz at 4K resolution. The main drawbacks are that it doesn't support Dolby Vision HDR (like all Samsung TVs) and that the standard Tizen software can be a bit clunky.
TKLQM8
TKL
The TCL QM8 is a well-reviewed LCD TV for those who want an exceptionally bright panel. This deal represents another new low.
If your living room is particularly exposed to bright light, the TCL QM8 is a well-reviewed LCD TV with a higher maximum brightness, as well as quantum dots and similar gaming features. It also uses a small LED backlight to improve contrast, though it won't look as colorful as a good OLED TV and viewing angles are narrower. The 65-inch model is now down to $901, a new low and about $200 less than the regular retail price. Also of note is the Hisense U8K, another LCD TV that has received similarly high ratings, though the 65-inch version of that TV currently costs $1,098.
Hisen U6K
Hisense
This is the best price we've ever seen for the 75-inch version of the U6K, a budget model that has received rave reviews online.
Moving towards the budget end of the market, the 75-inch Hisense U6K retails for $698, another all-time low and $100 less than the normal retail price in recent months. Compared to the QM8, it's a basic LCD TV, so it won't look as bright, it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, and there are no HDMI 2.1 ports. It's much cheaper, however, and is one of the few entry-level TVs to support mini-LED backlighting, full-range local dimming, and quantum dot color. Reviews from other sources indicate that these features help provide better contrast and color performance than most TVs in this price range. It also uses the Google TV platform, which we found easy to use. However, like most budget TVs, it will look blurry when viewed from an angle. If the 75-inch kit is too large, the 55- and 65-inch models are still available at the prices we saw earlier this month.
Anker charger for sale.
Still
This deal is just a few dollars below the lowest price we've tracked for the Anker 736 charger, which can charge your phone, tablet, or laptop with up to 100W of power.
A range of high-quality wall chargers from Anker will be available this week. For example, the Anker 736 charger is up to $43 off the regular price of $60. This is a larger model designed for laptops or for charging multiple devices as it has two USB-C ports that can provide up to 100W of power individually, plus a USB-A port. Meanwhile, the Anker 735 charger has a similar range of ports up to 65W, but comes in a smaller package; Up to $40 - $20 off. For less powerful needs, the Anker 511 charger is closer in size to the old iPhone charger and has a single 30W USB-C port and retails for $17, which is about $3 less than usual. Finally, you can get a two-pack of Anker PowerPort III 20W cubes for $14, a discount of about $4. It has a similar small form factor to the 511, but runs at 20W, which might be enough if you you only need for a non-professional iPhone.
Apple AirPods Pro
This deal is the lowest price we've ever seen for the Lightning version of Apple's noise-canceling headphones.
The second-generation Lightning version of Apple's AirPods Pro is back on sale for $189. That matches the all-time low seen during Amazon Prime's Big Deal Days sale earlier this month and is $10 off the price typical of headphones in recent months. The AirPods Pro were voted "Best for iOS" in our wireless earbuds buying guide and received a rating of 88 in Engadget reviews late last year. They still offer a nice warm audio profile, effective noise cancellation, an excellent transparency mode, and many useful integrations with other Apple devices. The latest update also added a useful adaptive audio mode. However, keep in mind that last month Apple released an updated model with a USB-C charging case (as well as better dust protection). As of this writing, this product is not on sale, although we may see a discount as we get closer to Black Friday.
Govee M1 LED strips
Foolish
Get a $30 off coupon to get this discount on a set of ceiling lights in our Smart Lighting Buying Guide.
The Govee M1 LED strips sell for $70 on Amazon with a $30 coupon, which is the lowest price we've seen. This is a 16.4 foot long strip that you can cut and stick around your home to create colorful ambient lighting. Its colors are bright and vibrant, and the Govee app allows you to apply many different effects to specific parts of the bracelet. If you want to give the room a more cheerful atmosphere, you can also synchronize it with music. Alexa, Google Assistant and the new smart home standard Matter are supported. Just keep in mind that it can be a little painful when idle, so you may not want to leave it open. We currently recommend the M1 in our guide to the best smart bulbs.
Jabra Elite3

This offer is the lowest price we've found for one of our favorite pairs of affordable wireless headphones.
The Jabra Elite 3 headphones are on sale for $40 at Best Buy, an all-time low and about $25 below the average retail price. We gave this wireless pair an 88 rating in 2021 and currently recommend it in our guide to the best budget wireless headphones. For under $50, its modest, bass-boosted sound still impresses, and its compact design, comfortable fit, and IP55 water resistance make it a great choice for workouts. Battery life is also good, around seven hours per charge. Features are few, however: no wireless charging, ear tracking, multi-device pairing, or active noise cancellation.
KeyKron V3

In our guide to the best gaming keyboards, we recommend the Keychron V3 as a good choice for new mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
The Keychron V3 keyless mechanical keyboard is down to $69, which is about $15 less than the regular price. Amazon also sells it for an extra $5. This is a recommendation from our guide to the best gaming keyboards, as we think it's a great starting point for anyone looking to take up mechanical keyboards as a hobby. It's tightly coupled, compatible with all major operating systems, and customizable with a set of convenient keys. (In general, the tactile K Pro Brown is best for typing, while the linear K Pro Red is faster for gaming.) These keys are pre-lubricated, so typing feels smooth and complete right out of the box, and The PBT coated keycaps are crisp and durable. It's not silent, but not very loud either. They're also interchangeable, making adjusting keys and switches on the go a breeze.
Samsung Evo Select
The Samsung Evo Select is one of the best microSD cards on the market, and this deal puts it several dollars below the lowest price we've tracked.
The 512GB version of Samsung's Evo Select microSD card is back on sale for $30, which is $2 more than the price we saw during the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale, but still $5 less than the price at original retail. The Evo Select is the "best quality" option in our microSD card buying guideāit's not the fastest card we've tested, but it's a good choice for those looking to expand the capacity of their Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck or Raspberry the capacity of the Pi affordable price. balance. . The Samsung Pro Plus is technically better if you pay $5 more, but this card isn't any cheaper than usual.
MSI Studio Stealth 14
In our guide to the best Windows laptops, we recommend the portable and powerful Stealth 14 Studio.
The MSI Stealth 14 Studio laptop is configured with an Intel Core i7-13620H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD and is priced at $1,200 at Best Buy. This is the lowest price we've seen for this model, with a suggested retail price of $300. In June, we gave the Stealth 14 Studio a score of 87, praising its sleek design and relatively light weight (3.75 lbs. ), powerful speakers and good performance for everyday gaming. It's a cheaper configuration than the ones we reviewed: the processor is a bit slower and the 14-inch screen has a lower resolution (1,920 x 1,200 and a 165 Hz refresh rate), but the overall experience matters. The main drawbacks are the mediocre 720p camera and the fact that it can overheat under pressure. You still won't get much battery life from a gaming laptop like this. But if you need a more portable device for gaming and media editing, there's good value here. We currently recommend Stealth 14 Studio in our guide to the best Windows laptops.
Asus ROG Zephyr G14
Asus
This is the lowest rating for this high-end configuration in our gaming laptop buying guide.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is our top gaming pick in this guide and is currently on sale for a better deal at the same price. The discounted model includes an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS chip, a GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch 1440p 165Hz display. This deal, which provides a $400 discount off ASUS' list price, represents an all-time low. The G14's offering is similar to that of the Stealth 14 Studio: it is a compact gaming laptop that does not completely sacrifice the "laptop" part. It's powerful enough to run modern games without weighing 3.64 pounds, and the keyboard and trackpad are comfortable. Whether you should skip the MSI tweak described above will likely depend on your willingness to trade storage space for a higher resolution display. The G14 also has more ports, including two for USB-C and two for USB-A, although the Stealth 14 Studio includes a Thunderbolt 4 connector, which could be important if you want to use an external GPU.
Sonos is moving
This deal applies to the latest-generation Sonos Move, which isn't as fun or durable as the new Move 2, but might still be worth it for those who want a great wireless speaker that can be used indoors and out.
Sonos sells the first-generation Move speaker for $299, which is $100 cheaper and hits an all-time low. There's a big caveat to this deal, as Sonos replaced the Move with the updated Move 2 earlier this year. In our review, we found the new model offers better audio quality and significantly longer battery life; Other improvements include an updated set of touch controls and line support (with an optional adapter). If you can spend another $150 or wait for a possible sale, you should buy this device. If you can't, the Move's original design is similar: it's still a powerful yet portable speaker with balanced sound, a weatherproof design, and all the usual Sonos perks. It pairs easily with other Sonos speakers and can connect to a variety of streaming services, plus support for AirPlay 2, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Its battery lasts about 10 hours instead of the 20 hours of the Move 2.
