Pitch Deck Teardown: SplitBricks $200K Angel Deck

Pitch Deck Teardown: SplitBricks $200K Angel Deck

I don't often break down Angel for the Pitch Deck teardown series; For a very simple reason: Angel investors' expectations for Pitch Deck are very different from those of professional institutional investors. However, as I walked through the SplitBrick floor, I realized there were a few things I wanted to say.

For example, there are some major problems with this deck that make it almost impossible to invest in the company. let's see!

We're looking for more unique deck submissions to download, so if you'd like to submit your own, here's how to do it.

Three things to love

There's definitely a lot to dislike about this deck, but it's not all bad, and there are a few things worth noting.

Very good shopping area

It's rare for a startup to outline business models in an industry to position itself, but business model innovation is a legitimate way to innovate, so it's a good thing to do. Including:

There are many ways to get a piece of ownership action. SplitBrick boldly presents new options and new market definitions.

This is a great example of how to lead by what makes you unique. SplitBrick's unique strategy has many challenges, but this is where this approach shines: reinventing the parts of the business that are ripe for disruption and leaving the rest alone.

A clear market view

I'd like to see some sources here to show where the data comes from, but if we take the numbers at face value, this slide does a good job of presenting a clear picture of the market that deserves attention. Look closer. look out

Beautiful product display version

SplitBrick is an early-stage company and therefore only builds MVPs. This can be difficult to prove, but the company has found an interesting way to do it.

The appendix contains six slides that work together as a step-by-step product demonstration. It shows how the company thinks about design language and user journeys, which is a great solution that allows investors to dream with the founders.

In the rest of this breakdown, we'll look at three things that Splitbrick can improve or do with a full deck.
