Deshaun Watson Burner Account Conspiracies Fly After Dreadful Browns Game

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson found himself caught in the crossfire after another tough loss.

Internet experts believe Watson created @Gainsvillesown after Monday night's 26-22 loss in Pittsburgh.

The score refers to Watson's home in Gainesville, Georgia. – despite the misspelling – and defended a struggling quarterback on Monday by completing 22 of 40 passes for 235 yards, one touchdown and six touchdowns.

Their final drive was returned for a touchdown, giving the Steelers the lead for good.

The disappointing loss sparked frustration among fans, with some taking to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss it.

But the “Gainsvillesown” question is not one of Watson's accusations.

He blamed everyone but Watson, including the offensive line and head coach Kevin Stefanski. The offensive line allowed six sacks on Monday.

One user wrote: “Watson [sic] looks a little rusty. One more time. That's what I was wondering."

User "Fred Watson" wrote: "As rusty as it looked, within seconds it had been looted."

The account quickly responded to a clip posted during Watson's postgame press conference.

"He did his best tonight," the report wrote.

There appear to be some holes in the conspiracy theory that Watson created this incendiary report to defend himself.

According to Heavy, the account was "apparently" created during the Monday Night Football doubleheader, giving Watson a very convincing alibi.

On Wednesday morning, the account's first tweet was posted shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

Although Internet trolls appear from time to time, these accounts are more likely to be die-hard fans or close friends of Watson than Watson's creation.

When a social media advocate came to play for her, Watson had no problem admitting her problems.

Although he harassed the referee during the match, he was not penalized or sent off the field.

"We wouldn't do it to anyone," Watson said. “You are the one who blames me. “I can take all the blame, I can take the criticism and I will.”

The Browns will look for redemption when they host the Titans (1-1) on Sunday.
