Lenovos Legion Go Is A Gaming Laptop In Handheld Form
Lenovo Today it launched its first portable gaming device for Windows. , legion, go . Legion Go is available with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and up to 16 GB of RAM. You can choose up to 1 TB of storage and an optional expansion slot is also available for up to 2 TB of additional space. It's good to see the options out there.
I grab Legion Go and feel what it's like to sit on the couch with it. Legion Go's hall-effekt joystick means "minimum dead zone" and even knocks the Nintendo Switch by saying "the joystick doesn't slide". The controller has a built-in trackpad, D-pad, angled mouse wheel and ten customizable shoulder, trigger and hold buttons. I was amazed at how easily my thin fingers could fit into them. Both controllers can be removed from the screen, and the right controller can be used as a mouse to accelerate games such as first-person shooters.
As a gaming device, the Legion Go has two USB Type-C ports for simultaneous charging and connecting accessories. There is also Wi-Fi 6E compatibility and Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility for your favorite smart headphones.
If you want to use the Legion Go in semi-public areas like airplanes, you can grab the Legion Go glasses for an additional $330. The glasses have a large privacy screen inside the lenses. They feature Full HD resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate and built-in speakers. Legion Glasses are compatible with most Windows, Android and Apple USB-C devices.
If handsets aren't your thing, Lenovo has announced the Legion 9i with integrated liquid cooling. The Legion 9i's faux carbon fiber case is one of the nicest looking laptops I've ever seen. The laptop is the first 16-inch device in the Lenovo ecosystem and the first to feature an independent cooling system developed in part by Cooler Master. The cooling system has three fans and an air conditioning system with its own air conditioner.
The Legion 9i features a Lenovo PureSight MiniLED display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor with 64GB of RAM and you can get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU. With RGB backlighting on each key, the Lenovo keyboard is ready for customization. It is paired with a 99.99Wh battery that can be charged via a 330W charger or a 140W USB-C power bank. The Legion 9i will be available in October starting at $4,400.

The Company provides insurance to small and medium-sized businesses through Sequoia's Arc program.

Founded in 2021, the Berlin-based company and part of Sequoia's Arc program aims to make insurance policy management easier and cheaper for small businesses. Current small business insurance options are often based on a one-size-fits-all approach.
"I've spent a lot of time as an investor and in the insurance industry and I've seen that insurers don't have a clear approach to SMEs and that a large percentage of them are not satisfied with the current coverage," said Daniel Dirks co-founder. . and CEO of SureIn. WITHIN
"Our approach combines capabilities from different models to help organizations understand their risk levels and tailor insurance coverage."
SureIn works with around a thousand small businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors and plans to serve other sectors such as healthcare in the future. "But this is a huge market opportunity, so we've proven the appeal of our work with good market viability numbers for our products and strong unit economics to start a competitive cycle."
The SureIn funding round was led by Pact VC with backers Koro Capital, Robin Capital and angel investors.
The seed funding will be used to expand the company's product line and technical staff, as well as expand the functionality of the SureIn platform.

Do Laptop Cooling Pads Really Work?
Yes, but it depends on what you want. Tests show that the best laptop cooling pads can cool a laptop by around 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on performance. It's not critical, but it can make a difference over time. And if you tend to use your laptop directly on your lap, putting a mat underneath will protect your knees from burns.
On the other hand, there is little evidence that cooling pads help laptops run faster. A difference of a few degrees is not enough to significantly improve CPU or GPU performance.
Laptop cooling pads may make you more comfortable while gaming, but you can't rely on them to improve the performance of your laptop. And if your laptop is having problems with overheating, perhaps due to damaged air or dust, a cooling stand is only a temporary solution.
How much does a laptop cooling pad weigh?
You should expect most refrigerators to be between 20dB and 50dB. 50 dB is equivalent to a normal conversation between two people or the hum of a refrigerator. The more powerful the cooling pad fan is, the louder the sound will be.
Keep in mind that a cooling pad does not replace your laptop's internal fan. Thus, if your laptop's internal fans monitor cooling, you'll find two sets of fans making noise at the same time, doubling the volume.
What size of cooling pad should I buy?
Any cooler you buy should be at least large enough to fit in the base of your laptop. Your laptop shouldn't be tilted sideways or backwards, and it should be able to lay flat without shaking. In other words, a large cooling pad works in a small laptop, but not the other way around.
Cooling pads work best when the pad's fan is aligned with the laptop's vents. This usually means placing the laptop in the center of the pad, equidistant from each fan and/or directly above the center fan.

Temu Dives Into Southeast Asia, Takes On TikTok Shop And Alibabas Lazada
PDD-owned Temu quietly debuted in the Philippines last weekend as the top destination in Southeast Asia. Temu brings this shopping app to compete with similar apps in China namely Lazada and TikTok Shop.
Why it matters: Temu's expansion into Southeast Asia is expected to fuel the region's e-commerce sector with its aggressive marketing strategy, even as the country's big players are already gaining market share. enviable
Details: Since launching in the United States last September, Temu has reached consumers in 38 countries on six continents with products made in China.
In keeping with its "Shop like a billionaire" advertising tagline, Temu has entered the Philippines with deep discounts and free shipping, with most products on local sites priced between PhP 50 and PhP 1,500 (between $0.88 and $27).
Based in Boston, Temu works closely with a number of third-party logistics providers for local deliveries. In the case of the Philippines, Chinese newspaper Jiemian reported that Indonesia-based J&T Express would oversee long-distance logistics.
Like its main competitor Shein, Temu uses the Chinese supply chain network to offer products at very low costs to international customers.
An earlier report by local media 36Kr quoted sources as saying that Temu's overall leak rate was around 60%, compared to Shein's four consecutive years.
Context: Southeast Asia's relatively low e-commerce penetration rate makes the region highly attractive for Chinese e-commerce companies, especially as they face slowing domestic growth.
Lazada, the online shopping platform that received a $1.1 billion investment from its parent company Alibaba this year, reported double-digit order growth in Southeast Asia in the June quarter. The Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, of which the company is a part, grew revenues 41% year-over-year, making it one of the Chinese tech giant's top-performing segments.
TikTok plans to invest "a billion dollars" in Southeast Asia over the next few years, company CEO Shou Zi Chew said in June, as the ByteDance-owned short-video app gains more control in the States. One Match After Recording A Hat Trick, Striker Ashleigh Williams Recorded Her Third Straight Multiple Goal Game
LUBBOCK, TX (Press Release) - Thanks to another double from junior Ashley Williams, the Texas Tech Red Raiders cruised to a 3-0 win over Utah State on Sunday afternoon at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
The match was originally scheduled for 7pm under floodlights, but due to the weather, the match was moved to the afternoon.
Texas Tech (3-0-1) was unstoppable in the early going and got off to a good start as sophomore Kyle Bahr hit a shot down the left sideline.
With Utah State (1-3) in the game's first minute, Bahr drove into the penalty area and sent a perfect shot that hit the wide Williams team. The youngster hit the ball into the net and scored his sixth goal of the season.
Her goal just 71 seconds into the game gave Tech a 1-0 lead.
Sunday's game ended in a 1-0 tie until substitute Caitlin Giametta started a strong winning streak. 3 minutes into the game, Giametta deflected a corner kick by USAF goalkeeper Dera Walton.
Newcomer Sam Cortright served up the ball as Hannah Anderson headed into the penalty area after the ball went wide again for a corner.
Andersen headed the ball back to Williams, who put the ball back for his fifth goal of the afternoon, his fifth of the week and his seventh of the season.

As usual in her career, goalkeeper Madison White was strong in the win, posting her 28th career clean sheet, just shy of the Victoria Eagles' program record. Tech's sixth guard, who has 200 career saves, made three saves.
With two goals this afternoon, Williams scored his 23rd and 24th career goals, moving the Allen native into seventh all-time on Tech's all-time leaderboard. With his four points today, Williams became the tenth Red Raider to score 50 points in his career.
As mentioned earlier, Williams has scored seven goals in four games this season and has scored 16 goals in the last 14 games.

"I thought our girls handled the time change really well. I think they were happy to be in the building. They didn't want to wait all day to play. So I think we did a good job of that. I thought we were. They're excited and ready to go." On Sunday games, 1pm, that's it. Indirectly this has been a good result for us. We won, we had to play in hot and difficult conditions and the girls were satisfied after the victory on Sunday.

We'll definitely have someone else. It's a 20-game season but it's a good, tough draw and hopefully not what happened last year. But at the same time we We're not a team. We've got seven freshmen, we've got those other freshmen, we've got Macy Blackburn again, we've got three 5th graders. We're not last year's team. Every team is a new journey, and every season is different. It's easy to say, 'We'll do it again,' but if you're going to do it again, you have to. It's different, it's never going to be the same. I like the identity of this team, it's growing and we'll see if we can continue that as the season goes on."
