I'm A Tech Writer And These Are The Prime Day Gadget Deals I Really Want

Prime Day 2023 is just around the corner, which means this time of year is turning around faster than ever: Amazon's annual event is packed with great deals. I've collected the best below, and there's good news right away: many of these products are already on sale. But keep in mind that some of these deals require an Amazon Prime membership. Also note that if you own (and use) an Amazon Prime Visa card to pay for your purchases, you can earn a higher-than-usual 5% cash back rate. (Amazon's Fire HD 8 tablet is a good example; it's heavily discounted, and you'll get 10% cash back when you pay with Visa Prime.)

WYZE extension

Wyze makes great smart home technology at very affordable prices, so any discount is amazing and worth considering. Cam v3 is now $43; now even better. This versatile security camera works indoors and outdoors, almost anywhere there's electricity and a decent Wi-Fi signal. Features include night vision, two-way audio, human and pet detection, and more. includes. You can record continuous video to a cheap memory card or subscribe to Wyze's cheap monthly service to add cloud storage and other features.

VacLife

Powerful, compact and affordable, the VL768 is small enough to fit in your drawer, yet powerful enough to inflate truck, car, bike and toy tires. It doubles as a backup charger for your phone, making it a very attractive deal at just $40. What's not to love? Read my VacLife Tire Inflator review to learn more.

EarFun

Before you spend several hundred dollars on Apple AirPods Pro, try the EarFun alternative. These great value headphones offer active noise cancellation (ANC), in-ear functionality, touch controls and up to seven hours of playtime on a single charge. Speaking of power, the case supports USB-C and Qi wireless charging. In my tests, the Air Pro 2 sounded pretty good overall – not quite on par with Apple's AirPods, but good enough to satisfy most listeners. Of course, at a more satisfactory price.

Amazon

This deal rivals Amazon's lowest price on a mid-size tablet, with an 8-inch screen, expandable storage, hands-free control with Alexa, and all the entertainment you can imagine: books, games, movies, music, TV shows, and more.. The tablet there were a few things I didn't like about the interface, but at this price the quirks were easily forgiven. Read my Fire HD 8 review to learn more.

Come on

Isn't it time for robots to do the housework? The Yeedi Vac X sweeps and vacuums, and while it doesn't have the laser-guided intelligence of high-end Autobots, it can still map your floors and clean only designated areas (in the Yeedi app, you'll also find apps, cleaning modes, and more.) . Even cooler, the Vac X works with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can order cleaning supplies without leaving your couch.

$130 on Amazon

Meta search

The Meta Quest 2 is a phenomenal product, one of my favorite tech gadgets of all time. Put one on your head and climb a virtual mountain, fight a virtual Darth Vader, put on virtual boxing gloves (trust me, it 's a workout ), and more. Late last year, Meta raised the price to $399; you have a chance to return it to the original price.

$299 on Amazon

XGIMI

Although the Xgimi Elfin is compact enough to mount on the arm of a sofa, it's perfect for home theater. Images are sharp (1080p) and bright (800 ANSI lumens), with excellent Harman Kardon speakers to get the most out of movie nights. The Elfin also comes with Android TV 10.0. the only thing missing is Netflix. (You can plug in any streaming device to supplement.) It's one of my favorites, one of the best projectors I've tested, and an absolute steal at $500 (with coupon). Read my Xgimi Elf review to learn more.

$499 on Amazon

Of course, if you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping. Not a member yet? It does not matter. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial here. (By the way, those not on Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)
