Vivo has launched the Vivo X Fold 2, its second-generation book-style foldable phone. Technically, this is the company's third foldable smartphone, but the Vivo X Fold+ is a mid-range device.

However, the Vivo X Fold 2 brings many improvements over its predecessor, the most important of which is weight. This thing is lighter than the Vivo X Fold 2. This device weighs 311 grams and this device weighs 278 grams. It's still heavy, but remember it's a big phone.

The foldable Vivo X Fold 2 is now official, and it looks like the company's "regular" flagship.

Vivo X Fold 2 has been launched in China and we are not sure if it will be released in other markets this time. The device looks like a cousin of the flagship Vivo X90 series that the company announced a while back.

It's also a flagship phone, but foldable. More soon, let's go to the design. As you can see in the given image, the device has a tree bark on the back. On the back is a circular camera with ZEISS optics. The folds are flat and the frame is metal.

Vivo X Fold 2 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC, with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 flash storage. So Vivo has not cut corners here.

It has two 120Hz displays, each with an in-display fingerprint scanner

The main screen measures 8.03 inches and is a Samsung E6 AMOLED QHD+ (2160 x 1916) panel. It offers an LTPO display and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. HDR10+ is supported, as is Dolby Vision, and the screen can reach a brightness of 1800 nits.

The second panel is a 6.53-inch FullHD + (2520 x 1080) unit. The Samsung E6 is an AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This panel achieves a brightness of 1600 nits at its highest point.

Includes 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging

A 4800 mAh battery is installed on board. The device supports 120W wired charging in addition to 50W wireless charging. Incidentally, reverse wireless charging is part of the package.

Android 13 comes pre-installed on devices running OriginOS 3 in China. When it launches globally, you'll get Vivo's Funtouch OS. It has two in-display fingerprint scanners, one for each phone screen. It's an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, by the way.

The phone has two SIM card slots (2x Nano SIM) and supports 5G (SA/NSA) connectivity. Of course, Bluetooth 5.3 is also included in the package.

At the back you will find an attractive triple camera with ZEISS optics

The main 50-megapixel camera (Sony IMX866 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, OIS, ZEISS T* coating, V2 chip) is supported by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera (Sony IMX633 sensor, 108-degree FoV, f/2.00) . A) backwards. The third rear camera is a 12-megapixel portrait telephoto unit (f/1.98 aperture). Each of the two screens has a single 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.45 aperture).

The Vivo X Fold 2 measures 161.29 x 143.43 x 5.95mm when folded and 161.29 x 73.42 x 12.9mm when unfolded. Note that this is for the black model, the red and blue models are slightly thicker at 13.2mm for some reason. This phone offers three color options. It's officially called Shadow Black, China Red, and Azure Blue.

The two Vivo X Fold 2 models are priced at 8,999 Yuan ($1,380) and 9,999 Yuan ($1,455) in China. Both models have 12 GB of RAM, but different storage units (256 GB and 512 GB).
