Elon Musk May Have Accidentally Revealed A Strange, Secret ‘burner Twitter Account

Elon Musk May Have Accidentally Revealed A Strange, Secret ‘burner Twitter Account

It looks like Elon Musk revealed that he has a secret and anonymous Twitter account.

The CEO shared a screenshot from his account and intends to use the image to demonstrate how to use Twitter's login feature. The tool allows users to charge extra for access to additional content, and Musk says nearly 25,000 people have signed up for his account.

But the photo may contain more revealing details. Next to the regular version is a small image showing a child holding a replica spaceship.

This image is displayed in the alternative account section of the Twitter user interface. This allows people who manage more than one profile to quickly switch between them.

In a reply to one of his most ardent fans, “DogeDesigner”, Musk appears to confirm that he has a secret account. "You never thought it was me!" He responded to this account saying that he had an "alternative" account on the site.

The user immediately tries to find this account on the site. Image searches yielded no results, and Mr Musk's screenshots lacked detail, making the account difficult to trace.

However, shortly after the release, a user claimed to have found a burner account. According to the viral tweet, the name "Elon Test" and username @ErmnMusk were used and the same profile picture was posted.

This account contains a selection of unusual posts on topics close to the hearts of Musk and his fans. Send replies to cryptocurrency and Tesla focused accounts, for example, reply to a tweet from Mr. mask account.

In another post, it looks like the account has been involved in childhood. As well as not being old enough to visit, one tweet also said, "I'm finally three on May 4," which coincides with the birth date of Mr X. Mask Baby by singer Grimes.

The photo on the invoice also shows X. While there's no record of him ever being released, the baby in the photo looks like one Musk has tweeted about in the past, and the Starship model was recently opened for pre-order on the SpaceX website. .

Other posts complain that they don't have enough followers. One person wrote, "Only one person followed me (sigh)" while another pleaded, "For God's sake can anyone follow me."

However, more posts appeared in response to sexual content. One post responded to a question from bitcoin advocate Michael Saylor about sympathy for "Japanese girls", while another response to a post about FTX member Carolyn Ellison replied, "I [like] the librarian."

The account was created in November 2022, shortly after Musk completed his purchase of Twitter. It's unclear whether the photo or other account details have changed since then, as the Twitter account has not publicly documented it.

This sparked speculation on Twitter, with users speculating that the data confirmed the account belonged to Mr Musk and that it was an alternative account that appeared to confirm its existence. Many mocked Mr Musk or expressed dissatisfaction with the nature of the post as it appears to have childlike traits.

But no one connected that account with Mr. Musk doesn't, assuming "ErmnMusk" controls him or the account shows up in the screenshot. Even though he shared the same photo, it may have been added after being public some time before the account was discovered.

Mr Musk has not commented on this particular account or any speculation that he may be in control of it. He also doesn't comment on his secret account topics in general other than the original "DogeDesigner" tweet, though he does comment on a number of other topics on his Twitter feed.
