Apple's Secondgen AirPods Pro Are Down To $200, Plus The Rest Of This Week's Best Tech Deals

We review technology proposals every day of the week. On Fridays we round up the best of what's still on sale. This week, Amazon continued to sell Apple's latest AirPods Pro for $50 off, with another retailer joining them. Samsung's flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S23 series, are finally getting a proper discount and not just a free memory upgrade, so you can get the base S23 Ultra configuration for the lowest possible price. Depending on the options you want, Microsoft's Surface Pro 9 hybrid tablet will cost up to $300 during the company's spring sale. There's also a deal on a solid portable SSD, as well as discounts on a graphics card, Bluetooth speakers and even a projector. Here are the best tech deals of the week that you can still get today.

Apple AirPods Pro

If you didn't do so last week and are still hoping to save some money on Apple's second-generation AirPods Pro, here's good news: Amazon is continuing its $50 discount on the headphones. Verizon is now also reasonably priced, so if you prefer to buy from them, you can. The $200 price tag is the lowest we've ever seen it, and if you're an iPhone user, we think these are the best headphones you can buy. They have one of the best transparency modes of any headphone we've tested, which is perfect if you like to listen to music while keeping an eye on what's going on around you. The overall sound is clear and vastly improved over the previous generation Pro, with a suitably immersive audio experience. And, of course, they work seamlessly with iOS and the Apple system in general. In our review, they scored 88 points.

Another sale we can mention is a big discount on our favorite Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones from Sony. That's $198 after a 29% discount, the lowest price outside of last November's holiday shopping.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, is currently available on Amazon with a $200 discount, and the discount applies to both the 256GB and 512GB configurations. We've seen sales on the S23 Ultra before, but the savings mostly come in a free memory upgrade because they made the 512GB phone the same price as the 256GB model, but now if you just get the base model of a premium handset, , you can always save. We love the S23 Ultra's long battery life, gorgeous display and improved cameras, which is why it scored an 89 in our review. We also think this is the best Android phone you can buy.

If you're thinking of getting the Galaxy S23+ instead, that model gets a $150 discount, again on both storage configurations, making the 256GB size $850 and the premium 512GB phone $970. The S23+ scored an 86 in our review, but there's no need to feel like you need to upgrade to this model if you already have an S22+.

For an even bigger deal, you can check out the Google Pixel 7, which Amazon is selling for 25% off for $450 instead of $600. The phone scored a 90 in our review, where we called the Pixel 7 Pro the best flagship phone deal.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is currently down to $394.49 on Amazon, a 12% discount from its usual $450 price, and actually less than what it sold for on Cyber ​​Monday. The watch has GPS for walking and running, as well as sleep and exercise tracking. Sensors can give you an analysis of your body composition. The deal applies to the Bluetooth Black model only. If you want it in gray or with LTE connectivity, you'll have to pay full price.

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is usually cheaper, selling for $249. That's $20 more than the lowest price we've seen, but still more affordable than the Pro version. We named the Galaxy Watch 5 standard the best smartwatch for Android users, and it gives you comprehensive fitness and health tracking, body composition analysis, and sleep coaching. The only thing missing from the Pro model is the larger titanium case and the detailed walking and cycling instructions you get from the Pro GPX trails.

Blink's indoor security camera offers 1080p HD video, night vision and motion detection, as well as two-way audio so you can see, hear and talk to anyone in the room.

Several Blink security devices are currently on sale at Amazon, including the Blink Mini for 29% off and the Blink Outdoor for 36% off. Both discounts are within $5 of the all-time low the devices hit during last year's Black Friday sales. We named the Blink Outdoor the best wireless security camera in our smart home guide. Amazon is also discounting other Blink devices, including the Blink Video Doorbell, for 30% off, which is just $35 instead of $50. While doorbell cameras offer peace of mind, we must point out that these devices have their own security issues. But if the benefits of watching the front of your home outweigh the potential risks, you might also be interested in selling security devices like Arlo.

Google Nest Doorbell

If you want Google to monitor Amazon, you can check out Google's sale of their Nest security devices. Both the Google Store and Amazon have marked down the Google Nest Wired Doorbell to $130, a $50 discount or 28% off, the lowest drop we've ever seen. This is a wired version, which means the unit will never turn off (regardless of a power outage), but you will need the existing doorbell installation. Otherwise, you'll need a powered version of the Nest doorbell.

Other Google Home devices are also on sale, including the Nest Thermostat, which is $90 after 31% off, and the Google Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor, down to $140 after 22% off the list price of $180.

XGIMI MoGo Pro portable projector

Portable projectors allow you to take movies and shows to other locations, including outdoors. The XGIMI MoGo Pro Portable Projector is our favorite budget portable projector in our updated projector guide, and it's currently on sale on Amazon for 40% off, making it $300 instead of $500. You can get the same discount directly from Xgimi. The MoGo Pro is small enough to fit in a backpack and can last over two hours on a single charge. The image provided by a 300 lumen DLP projector is quite clear, with 1080p resolution. Automatic distortion and focus will help to make it as clear and accurate as possible, while the built-in Harman Kardon speakers will cope with the accompanying sound .

PS5 God of War: Ragnarok Bundle

This particular bundle went on sale last month but is back - great news for those who weren't PS5 ready but are now. God of War: Ragnarok for PS5 features Sony's latest console and one of our favorite games of the past year. The 9% discount knocks $50 off both the game and the console, meaning you get GoW: Ragnarok for $20 after it normally costs $70 on its own. While it might not seem like the biggest discount, the bundle stands out for being available at all - in 2022, it was hard to find a PS5 in stock anywhere. As for the game, we think it's one of the best games you can play on a Sony console. If you want, you can find the same deal at Target, Adorama or Best Buy.

One of our favorite Bluetooth speakers has just dropped to its lowest price yet.

We've named the Bose SoundLink Flex one of our favorite portable Bluetooth speakers, and right now you can get a hefty $20 discount at Amazon, Adorama, Best Buy, or directly from Bose itself. The speaker is the size of (and somewhat similar to) a sleeve, but still manages to deliver good clarity and punchy bass. It doesn't fill a room, but it can be connected to similar speakers for stereo sound. The IP67 rating means it's dustproof and can withstand being submerged in water without damage. Ideal for going out in warm weather.

The JBL Charge 5 is a slightly larger speaker that also deserves our recommendation. Both Amazon and JBL are on sale for $140, which is a 22% discount and the lowest price we've seen outside of last November's holiday shopping. The Charge 5 offers an impressive 20 hours of battery life and can even charge your small devices. The bright output and good bass are ideal for multi-person entertainment and come in a £1 portable case.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9

A hybrid tablet powered by an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD is on sale for $100 during Microsoft's Spring Sale.

If you've been thinking about buying a Surface, now is the time to do so, as Microsoft is offering spring discounts of up to $300 on multiple devices. The discount applies to Surface Pro-Tablet hybrids, with the more expensive versions offering the most savings. Not to be outdone, Amazon is also offering discounts on various Pro 9 configurations.

Microsoft released the Surface Pro 9 in October 2022 and essentially made two different models, one with Wi-Fi connectivity running on an Intel chip and a 5G version based on the Microsoft SQ3 ARM chip. We had the opportunity to review the 5G model and you can read our review here. For the record, we prefer the non-5G Surface Pro 9, recommending it as the best convertible laptop in our best laptops guide.

Microsoft is also offering discounts of up to $450 on new Surface Laptop models, including the Surface Laptop 5, which impressed us with its faster Intel processor and added Thunderbolt support, but believes the chassis and design of overall could use an upgrade.

Eero Pro 6 Mesh Wi-Fi Router

A few weeks ago, we reviewed a similar deal on Amazon's Eero Pro 6 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Router at Wellbots. If you haven't used it then and still want to improve your home Wi-Fi coverage, you can buy the device now for the same $40 discount. That's 20% off, and while it's still not the lowest price, it's the cheapest unit the device has sold for since last year's holiday sales. The router will cover 2,000 square meters, support Wi-Fi 6 and offer speeds of up to one gigabit per second. If you have a lot of smart home devices, the Eero Pro can connect from 6 to 75 devices at the same time. If you have the latest Echo speaker, Eero routers can turn it into a WiFi extender for even more coverage.

The deal hits an all-time low for the 1TB version of Samsung's solid state portable SSD. The 2TB model is also $130, which is the lowest price we've seen in months.

Need a little more space for your games and files? The SSD T7 Shield uses our beloved portable Samsung T7 SSD, encased in a tough rubber coating that's water and dust resistant. Right now, the 1TB and 2TB versions of the drive are on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and direct from Samsung for $80 and $130, respectively. Both prices are at or very close to the lowest price we've seen on readers.

The SanDisk Extreme 1TB Portable SSD is also on sale this week for 64% off at Amazon and B&H Photo.

ASRock AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Graphics Card

Newegg is selling ASRock's AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card for $610 after a $50 rebate and a $20 promo code. Enter VGAEXCAA496 at checkout for a full display. You'll also get a free game code for The Last of Us in case you don't already own the game. When it launched last year, the card cost around $1,000, so this is a nice new low discount. While it's not AMD's latest GPU (and it's power hungry), it can still play many games in 4K with high HD performance at 1440p.

It's no coincidence that this discount came right after Nvidia introduced the RTX 4070, which is probably worth picking up if you're interested in ray tracing. But if that's not the case, or if you prefer an AMD card, this is a relatively good price. Newegg is also selling ASRock's AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom graphics card for $540, which is a good price for another 1440p variant, and it also includes the game's TLOU code.
