Evan Rachel Wood Under Fire In Shocking Allegations From Former Marilyn Manson Accuser
Brian Warner, better known as "Marilyn Manson", has faced a series of lawsuits and lawsuits in recent years alleging he mentally, physically and sexually assaulted several women, including his former partners.
The most famous of these allegations was made by actress Evan Rachel Wood, who was romantically involved with Manson from 2006 to 2010. The couple got engaged but divorced in 2010. Wood cited the bar, the owner and the celeb who was also too afraid to be named in a 2016 Rolling Stone article.
She also testified before Congress about the abuses she suffered to amend the California Statute of Restrictions on Reporting Violations. It wasn't until 2021 that Wood finally called out her abuser Bryan Warner (Marilyn Manson) in an Instagram post, along with four other women who made very similar claims on the same day.
These women include Ashley Walters, Ashley Morgan Smithlin, Sarah McNeely and an unknown Jane Doe. Several women have sued Manson, including Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco, alleging abuse and aggravated assault.
Ashley Morgan Smithlin claims she was manipulated into making false accusations against Marilyn Manson.
Ashley Morgan Smithlin's case was dropped after parting ways with the attorney. He was given a 90-day grace period to find new representation, but failed to do so, resulting in his case being dropped. However, Page Six notes that Smithline now claims in a legal filing that Evan Rachel Wood manipulated him into making false allegations against Manson.
"I was pressured by Evan Rachel Wood and company to make false allegations of rape and assault against Manson," she said.
Smithline says one of the women [Walters O. Gore] contacted her in 2020 and asked her to attend group meetings with victims. Although Smithline told these women that she was not physically or sexually abused by Manson, she said Wood may have repressed their memories.
Smithline says that although he initially knew the incidents never happened, after a while he began to question their veracity, prompting Smithline to create a statement on Instagram falsely claiming that Gore had engaged in violent and non-consensual sexual activity. Authorized to publish. . . The statement mentions Smithley's repressed memories.
Several other Manson accusers claim repressed memories. "I blocked out a lot of memories, but the feelings are still there and they come out in different ways," said the anonymous Jane Doe, who appeared on Instagram the same day as these women. Defendant Ashley Walters sued Manson, claiming she suppressed memories of being sexually assaulted and abused by Manson.
During her testimony under the Phoenix Code, prosecutor Esme Bianco spoke about her experiences with Manson's abuse. "To survive traumatic events, especially those that lasted for several years, the brain normalizes the horrible reality. In such situations, you are biologically incapable of realizing the true nature of these horrible acts. You are helpless." She also said it took seven years. To realize that what was happening to her was domestic violence.
Smithline insists that Bianco have an attorney and suggests that Smithline use one. After Smithline prepared the statement, his attorney, Jay Ellwanger, who also represents Bianco, said he submitted it without reviewing or recommending the project to Smithline and pressured him to attend a tour. press to publish his claims.
This included an interview in The View and coverage in People magazine. Shortly after, Smithline said it fired Ellwanger. "In retrospect, I feel like I was manipulated by Ms. Wood, Ms. Gore, Ms. Bianco and Mr. Elwanger into posting false allegations against Mr. Warner," he said in a statement. Smithline adds that he has not received any money from Manson and is not looking for any.
Many problems with the lawsuits filed against Marilyn Manson
More than a dozen women have come forward with allegations against Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson. However, not everyone pursued him. Ashley Morgan Smithlin, Ashley Walters, Esme Bianco and Jane Doe all filed lawsuits against Manson, but all three were fired, except for Bianco, who settled with Manson.
Smithline was fired after parting ways with an attorney and failing to find new representation within a 90-day grace period. Smithline now claims that everything he said in his affidavit and lawsuit is a lie and he had no intention of doing so. According to his new statement, he is still in the process of filing a criminal complaint.
The lawsuit of Manson's former assistant, Ashley Walters, was dismissed because the statute of limitations had expired. This case was dismissed with prejudice and preventing his reinstatement. The Jane Doe case, in which Manson allegedly raped her, was also dismissed because the alleged rape occurred outside the two-year statute of limitations.
The judge ruled that his claims of repressed memories were "insufficient" to justify the "late discovery" rule and gave him 20 days to amend and resubmit the complaint. Since then, the woman has recharged her energy.
In 2019, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to press sexual assault charges against Manson because the alleged 2011 incidents occurred outside of the statute of limitations, but the office also added that it does not there would be no confirmation.
Recently, Jane Doe sued Manson for child abuse. This work is still in development.
While many of these women stand in solidarity with each other, a woman named Greta Aurora has a different story. Aurora had a brief sexual relationship with Manson when she was 19, but insisted their weekend together was entirely consensual and that Manson was a "gentleman" who cared about her safety and comfort:
She alleges that Elma Gore tried to convince her to join a group of women who made public accusations against Manson, citing her relationship with famous actress Evan Rachel Wood.
Gore is Wood's ex-girlfriend, and they both accuse Manson of domestic violence, rape, anti-Semitism and psychological torture. Gore reached out to Aurora in October 2020 through her official Phoenix Act email address and asked if she was interested in meeting any colleagues who have had similar experiences.
Aurora was contacted twice by this email, both of which mentioned Phoenix Law and her relationship with Evan Rachel Wood. Gore never responded.
The federal investigation into Manson has remained silent for years
After a series of allegations against the rock star, Los Angeles police have launched an investigation against Manson. The inquest looked into allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault that allegedly took place between 2009 and 2011.
Her house was raided and all of her equipment confiscated, but after two years, despite pressure from actress Evan Rachel Wood, no charges were brought. Wood has repeatedly used Instagram to encourage his followers to publicly pressure LASD and LADA to post updates on the status of the investigation.
The Los Angeles Police Department referred the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in September 2022 after completing a 19-month investigation. There is no update on the case other than DA George Gascon saying he has only received a partial filing and additional documents are needed for his review.
Gascon added that there was no timetable for further LASD deliveries. The public nature of this investigation is highly unusual for a case of this nature. Law & Crime Network's Annenette Levy discusses the investigation updates with reporter Megan Koniff.

Both said it was unusual for the attorney general to comment on an ongoing criminal investigation that his office had not yet received. Unusually, Gascon took to Instagram to provide an update on the investigation after a user asked how the case was progressing. Gascon said at the time that Manson was still being investigated by the LASD and the case had not been brought before the district attorney's office.
It assures the user that it seeks regular updates on the status of the investigation and is committed to investing in trauma-informed care for all victims. Guasco added, "Once a case is received, it will be carefully assessed by an experienced prosecutor to determine if it is appropriate to press charges at that time. We expect LASD to bring the case to us this month- this".
Criminal defense attorney Andrea Burckhardt says such criminal investigations are generally not held in public because they are unnecessary. Investigations are exempt from public records.
This prevents the press from obtaining police reports and reporting their findings, making the situation worse for the Department of Defense office. Burckhardt thinks we only hear from them because they choose to tell us.
Levy, Konev and Burckhardt all think this is a political position. No matter what he did or didn't do to Manson, Gascon says he's under intense pressure to get tougher on crime. Gascon sees himself as a progressive local prosecutor, but was almost called out for being soft on crime.
Manson sues Evan Rachel Wood and Elma Gore
Manson sued Evan Rachel Wood and his ex-girlfriend Elma Gore after Manson allegedly assaulted, raped and threatened to kill Wood during their relationship. This lawsuit alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, violation of the Comprehensive Computer Information and Access Fraud Act, and internet personalities.
In Manson's lawsuit, she made several allegations against Wood & Gore, including that they conspired with other women to fabricate false claims, connect their stories, and even write screenplays for women to watch.
One of the charges is impersonating a federal agent. Manson claims that Wood and Gore fabricated an FBI letter from a non-existent unit to create the illusion that he was under FBI investigation.
Wood cited the letter in a dispute with her ex-husband and father of her child, Jamie Bell, who questioned the legality of her claims. Bell said moving her son to Nashville was a convenient way to keep Bell from seeing her son.
Manson also claims that Gore hacked into his computer, phone, emails and even fake emails. Among the allegations, Manson also claims Gore "sneaked" him by sending police to his property under false pretenses, such as a "welfare check."
In fact, Manson says, his real purpose was to bring national attention to Manson and the allegations against him, and to legitimize Gore-Wood's claims that there was a federal investigation into Manson. Gore was scheduled to testify in October.
Elma Gore's identical twin sister, Britton Gore, filed a statement on Manson's behalf, saying she saw [Elma] Gore and Wood forge a letter from the FBI stating that Manson was under criminal investigation federal. In an affidavit, Brighton said he overheard conversations between Gore and Wood discussing how to forge an FBI letter, change the wording and forge an FBI agent's signature.
He also claims that drafts of the letter were made available to him via an iPad that once belonged to his twin sister but later ended up in her possession. Brighton claims he saw Illman use Procreate (a graphics editing tool) to copy a signature from a document that appeared to be a letter from a federal law enforcement agency.
Is Rose McGowan giving up her support for Evan Rachel Wood?
When Wood and his co-defendants first presented their allegations against Manson, #MeToo activist Rose McGowan, famed actress and alleged victim of Harvey Weinstein, showed solidarity with the women.
McGowan said that while Manson never abused her during their three-and-a-half-year relationship and engagement, that doesn't invalidate the other women's stories.
McGowan, who hasn't been ashamed of being bullied by various men in the entertainment industry, posted this statement on her social media: My ex who stood up to Marilyn Manson. The post is still active, although it was on Instagram, it has since been deleted from his Twitter account.
"I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and the other brave women who have come forward. It takes years to recover from abuse and I send them strength on the road to recovery. Let the truth be revealed. Let the healing begin !" This post has since been deleted.
It's unclear whether McGowan has suddenly changed his mind about supporting Manson's accusers, but he spoke on Twitter a month ago with anti-trafficking lawyer Eliza Bly, in which she described how she had been "brutally harassed" by Wood's supporters.
Again, he reiterated that the allegations against Manson do not reflect his personal experience. She added that while she hates people who use their experiences with the form and claim they were never abused by one person, that doesn't mean they don't abuse others. However, McGowan said he "didn't know because he wasn't there" and "obviously not everyone is going to tell the truth, that's another thing".
He finished. "It's very difficult to deal with psychologically for me because I don't understand why anyone would want to wear that coat if it's really not right. I don't understand psychologically why you would want that attention." With these new Smithline allegations, Wood will face more PR issues and his credibility will be under the microscope.
Final Thoughts
This issue continues to take on new roles every month. Many women have accused Marilyn Manson of horrific abuse and non-consensual sex.
However, many women who sued him were fired because the statute of limitations expired or lack of evidence.
Manson is still fighting the charges against him, but the singer is likely to step up his efforts in his lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood and Elma Gore, which could take several years before being brought to justice.
