Filipe Toledo Injured At VIVO Rio Pro, Shares Update (Watch)
Felipe Toledo was the best option to win this year's VIVO Rio Pro.
Based on his record, the Brazilian surfer has won for his country in the last three consecutive years (2022, 2019 and 2018) that have passed.
However, Toledo fell in the round of 16 against compatriot Judson Andre, suffering an injury in the process. Check out the update below.

Hey guys, a quick update here….
“After yesterday's MRI, she came back flawless. No ligaments... you know, they're all intact. The only damage I have now is the cartilage. It will take a few days to get back in the water."
"Thank God, I have a good team here.
"Besides, I'll be back soon. Now I have to focus on my recovery and that's what I'm doing. Thank you everyone. I really appreciate all the support."

“You guys know I got a little hurt yesterday during the last heat. I was in a lot of pain, at first I thought I had sprained my knee. I was very scared, I went for an MRI and the MRI showed a very positive result. Nothing in the ligaments." Or tendons. I had a cartilage injury that will take a few days to heal.
"I'll be at J-Bay, researching and doing whatever I can. But right now I have to focus on recovery, and that's what I'm doing. It's great, PT is here with me. It's sad. But right now I'm focused on recovery, so I will go for 100 JPY so I can get the interest back.
With wins in El Salvador and Sunset Beach, Filipe sits comfortably in the top five in the WSL. And it's another event where J-Bey has had success in the past, winning there in 2018. Get well soon, Philip.
