Oppo Find N3: Everything You Need To Know
Oppo has long challenged Samsung's dominance of the foldable phone market.
The excellent Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip are direct competitors of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, although the limited global release of the larger model has allowed the Korean giant to maintain its lead so far.
Now rumors are swirling around, giving us some clues as to what Oppo has next foldable up its sleeve. Here's what we know so far about the Oppo Find N3.
When will Oppo Find N3 be launched?
Oppo has launched the Find N models in December so far, as can be seen from the previous generation:
・Oppo Find N2 – December 2022
・Oppo Find N – December 2021
Instead of this model, we will most likely see the Oppo Find N3 in December 2023 . However, the previous two versions were exclusive to China. The smaller Find N2 Flip just got an international release, so hopefully next time Oppo will push the foldable duo globally, but there's no guarantee.
When it comes to China alone, there's still the expected OnePlus V Fold, made by the same company and expected to share many of the Oppo phone's designs and specs.
What will be the price of Oppo Find N3?
There's no official word from Oppo on possible prices for the Find N3, but again we can orientate ourselves by previous entries in its catalogue:
・ Oppo Find N2 (12GB / 256GB) – 7,999 yen (approx. $1,150 / £930)
・ Oppo Find N (8GB / 256GB) – 7,699 yen (approx. $1,210 / £910)
As Oppo has kept the prices of the base models stable, we expect to repeat this for the third generation in a row. Of course, these are prices for China, so if you want to import to other regions, you need to add different taxes and fees.
What new features will we see in Oppo Find N3?
Oppo has been very vocal about the innovations it could bring to the latest generation of its foldable phones, but rumors have already outlined some of those potential upgrades.
new design
Fans of previous models may not like the style, which has recently appeared online via digital chat station Weibo, which is believed to be similar to the Find N3. The potential concern is that the compact form that has been a hallmark of previous iterations could be ditched this time in favor of a larger design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. The poster elsewhere mentions that the new model will be "ultra-thin", so it's possible that Oppo is trading in a different size.

Bigger and faster home screen
This may be to accommodate the larger internal foldable panel, which GSMArena says will expand from the Find N2's 7.1-inch screen to a larger 8-inch Find N3's screen with a resolution of 2268 x 2440 and a frame rate of 120Hz is postponed.
advanced camera
The Digital Chat Station also draws attention to the Find N3's optics, reporting that it will feature a triple array consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide IMX581 and a 32 MP telephoto lens. The periscope complements the tri-lens by using a zoom.
Regarding the selfie camera, the Find N3 is expected to have a 20-megapixel camera on the external display and a 32-megapixel unit on the motherboard.
New chipset and battery
Latest Specs The phone is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the battery capacity will be boosted with a 4805mAh cell replacing the N2's 4520mAh battery.
That's all we've seen so far, but we'll be sure to update this article as new details emerge. Until then, find out how the Oppo Find N3 compares by reading our guide to the best Android phones and the best upcoming phones in 2023.
