Tweens Get Terrorized By Tech In The Circuit Breakers Trailer

Do you love Black Mirror , but want 12-year-olds to watch it? Apple TV+ brings you the new anthology series Circuit Breakers , a seven-hour story about middle school students searching for high-tech solutions to a permanent problem in the near future.

An Apple TV+ press release states that Circuit Breakers "offers a science-fiction twist on children's stories designed to get kids and families thinking about how to approach each unique situation." A kid signs up for an experimental treatment to grow taller after a few embarrassing sessions at the gym However, its accelerated growth appears to have had unfortunate side effects.

Being an athlete isn't a problem for one of the other kids, and he's a talented dancer who repeats himself to do his homework so he can spend more time in the studio. Meanwhile, the siblings manipulate their parents into giving them more pizza and ice cream, which can be a permanent scar in the process. Other episodes focus on memory modeling and space travel.

Circuit Breakers was created by veteran television writer Melody Fox, who has previous experience creating children's horror films with RL Stine's The Phantom Hour . Matt Hastings, who has worked on series such as Cloak, Dagger and Shadowhunters , directed three of the seven episodes.

Apple TV+ has become a popular playground for science fiction, with titles like Severance , Swan Song and Foundation . The broadcaster also has an extensive catalog of children's programs, such as the animated show Harriet the Spy and several Peanuts series and specials.

Circuit Breakers premieres November 11 on Apple TV+.
